Professional Experience

Research and teaching in Land Surveying, Geomatics, and Geoinformatics of sixteen years both locally and internationally. Two-year post-doctoral research experience at the school of Integrative Environmental Science, University of Tsukuba where i also served as an Assistant professor of Geoinformatics for two years. Currently Professor of geoinfomatics at the Institute of Geomatics, GIS and Remote Sensing and Dean, School of Graduate Studies and Research at Dedan Kimathi University. Previously served as Head of department and Senior lecturer at the department of Geomatic Engineering and Geospatial Information Science of Jomo Kenyatta University. Have authored books and book chapters and have published widely in high impact international journals. Have supervised several PhD and Msc students, who have successfully graduated.

Also serving on a number of community linkages activities and have attracted research funding to the University. Currently serving as an external examiner and peer reviewer and previously served as the Chief Editor journal of Applied Sciences Engineering and Entrepreneurship for Development (JASETD).
